GAMING

Gaming and content creation is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. That’s why ICA is bringing gaming to our communities to bridge the gap between kids that can afford gaming consoles and games and those who cannot.  We want kids to have all the same opportunities as their counterparts when possible.  Throughout the course, students will get the opportunity to learn about the overall benefits of gaming and content creation as well as the endless opportunities it has. Students will also be given the opportunity to understand and develop a social media presence and how to appropriately build relationships within the gaming community. Gaming has been an outlet for millions of people and this is just the beginning of what’s to come. If you want to be a part of a transcendent movement in our modern-day society, this is for you.

VOLLEYBALL

Our Director of volleyball, Sone Ahmad, coached recreational volleyball for over 5 years.  As Sone transitioned from recreational volleyball to club, she could see the disparity between athletes who could afford more training from club versus those who couldn’t. Athletes who couldn’t afford training had just as much potential to be great. With that in mind, Sone created the M.O.V.E. (Movement. Optimization. Vision. Enrichment) Program to offer athletes the opportunity to learn and improve in the game of volleyball while closing the gap of skills between rec and club volleyball. The program is designed to eliminate unnecessary movement on the court and to build an athlete’s IQ of the game. We start with teaching the basic fundamentals of each skill such as passing, serving, hitting, and setting. Each athlete will learn body positioning in regards to making a play in the ball. Lastly, the athletes will be taught how to read their opponents body in order to anticipate their next MOVE.

DANCE & CHEER

Dancing is something that shouldn’t be reserved for only those who can afford it.  The Hard Floor Dance & Cheer program was established to provide kids, boy or girl, or anyone interested in dancing with access to consistent dance classes with quality skilled instructors. Class options will be Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Cheer 101, & Power Pom!  These classes will not only help prepare dancers for future performance opportunities; participants will also learn teamwork, dance fundamentals, dance technique, improve flexibility, strength, self-esteem and confidence! The name Hard Floor was inspired by the dance and cheer clinics that LT attended that sparked a lifelong love and passion for spirit programs!

BASKETBALL

No matter what your background or financial situation is, we know 1st hand just how powerful the game of basketball can be when used and done correctly.  We teach kids to not only master the game on the court but off of the court as well.  We teach high intensity, high level drills but with fun and love.  We teach the kids how to use the court as an outlet and how to focus in order to succeed.  In this class Coach K. and our crew will work on building your skill set (ball handling, passing, defense, shooting, etc.) and will have a blast while elevating your game.

FOOTBALL

The ICA Football Program is designed to get kids involved who otherwise wouldn’t be due to time or finances.  We have eliminated most of the hurdles so that kids that want to play are absolutely playing.  We provide a fun and safe environment for kids & families to feel safe.  Every team has practice time, games, tournaments, and leagues.  Our leagues are year-round so hop in and have fun!

WORKFORCE

Our Helping Hand workforce program is designed to help our youth and communities

In practice, workforce development means offering our communities training, development opportunities, and continuing education programs to maximize their job success and career pathway.it supports the career development, productivity, and success of our youth.

Workforce development prioritizes human development and boosts morale, retention, and productivity.

In our organization, we view the youth as assets, not just headcounts to perform a specific task or job. We empower kids to know their self-worth and value. Offering a variety of training opportunities widens the scope of an individual’s contribution to a community, even if their original career or job function dissolves or is no longer needed.

1. Career satisfaction

When youth feel a sense of belonging, ownership, and purpose, they’re likely to feel happier, work harder, and stay longer.

ICA’s Workforce development encourages our young workers to feel like assets to the business and bottom line.  We teach them to start thinking ownership for themselves. Now we don’t just aspire to play for teams but to own them too!

2. In-demand workplace

Workers, particularly Millennials, prioritize development opportunities when looking for a job. A 2016 Gallup survey found that “87% of millennials rate professional or career growth and development opportunities as important to them in a job—far more than the 69% of non-millennials who say the same.”

By hiring ICA workforce crew whether internship, apprenticeship, for hire or volunteering at your business, you attract talented and motivated people who want to grow within your company—and help grow it in return

3. Leadership and Management training

Rarely do workers receive dedicated leadership training outside of the workplace or specific higher education programs, yet all workers—even those who aren’t managers—can greatly benefit. Being a leader is hard, whether you’re in charge of an entire company, the day shift, or a short-term team project.

ICA’s Leadership and Management training educates workers on how to be inclusive leaders, how to communicate with empathy, and how to provide constructive feedback. By providing this training to your entire workforce, you upskill your future leaders and managers, building a strong foundation for your future company.

4. Diversity and Inclusion training

Every organization should provide diversity and inclusion (D&I) training, regardless of industry, size, or location.

D&I training leads to an open and safe workplace environment. This empowers each and every employee to do their best work and share perspectives and ideas. In turn, your team can enjoy a more productive, creative workplace, helping your organization highlight its competitive advantages and distinctive value.

5. Skilled workforce

ICA’s Workforce development programs keep training and education at the forefront of your organization. By investing in training (and retraining), our young workers benefit from a highly skilled team, and companies who hire our workers can feel confident in their job performance and career trajectory!

6. Better morale

Wise employers realize that work is just one part of their employees’ lives — and that’s OK.

By positively developing your workforce with ICA, you provide more value to your employees than a paycheck. You create room for creative, innovative thinking and provide the confidence needed to try new things and test new theories. Only then can your company grow and stand out among competitors.

7. Increased productivity

Workforce development helps your team work smarter without working harder — and eventually burning out.

8. Lower turnover

Investing in our young workers is investing in fundamental business needs. Founders and leaders who hire to grow, tend to find more success than those who hire to simply outsource or check a box.

Workers who feel neglected or taken for granted will probably look elsewhere. Although navigating the job market is always a tough task, skilled workers will do so to find a job that suits — and appreciates — them.

STRENGTH / FITNESS

ICA’s Strength training or Fitness programs are customized for each individual or group.  We strive on attaining reachable goals and creating a healthy mindset for our youth.  We train our kids to eat healthier, train daily (even if only 10 mins a day) and become leaders to their peers and community by building a healthy body and mind.  Each ICA member will train with Oklahoma’s Master Trainer Emmanuel Sosanya who will create a workout plan as well as a food plan to help maximize your goals.

YOGA

ICA now brings yoga to its students! This is a huge benefit that sets us apart from other sports academies!  These exercises are for children of all ages. Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children. Yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.

Our Yoga instructor Jackie Aguirre believes in the importance of children having access to physical fitness activities. In her years working with non-profits she has seen how children are affected by childhood adversities. Through techniques and activities that introduce breath-work our Yoga program and staff will support your children’s mental health and well-being.

BOXING/KICKBOXING

Inner Circle Academy’s Boxing/Kickboxing Courses will teach kids the foundations of sport fighting. They will learn principles of movement, attacking, defending and working in different ranges to develop successful sparring techniques. While developing team building skills through working with partners, they will also learn techniques that will allow them to continue their practice at home and by themselves. By the end of the course, they will know how to spar in Boxing & Kickboxing and apply what they learned to other styles of martial arts.

SPEED SCHOOL

Audience:        Ages 7-12

Focus:  Sets an early athletic foundation

The ICA Jump Start Program is taught by ICA Performance Coaches and utilizes the most up-to-date research to build a young athlete’s physical foundation, improve their coordination and self-esteem. Our signature speed and strength training methods are serious, but all within a fun and friendly environment to ensure the young athlete is engaged and motivated to give 110%.

The Jump Start Program works to enhance:
  • Coordination
  • Running Technique
  • Body Weight Strength
  • First Step Quickness
  • Flexibility
  • Injury Prevention
  • Weight Loss
  • Self Confidence

The Jump Start program is divided into Jump Start I for ages 7 – 10 and  Jump Start II for ages 11 – 12. Regardless of the division, our Performance Coaches are specifically trained to motivate and challenge the young athlete, while providing age-level safe and appropriate training techniques and corrections that set a foundation for good life-time habits. Our Jump Start program is a must for all young athletes who wants to develop foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.

    Total Sports Performance
    Audience: Ages 12-15
Focus: Signature programming that provides maximum, foundational improvement to support athletic performance Performance Coaches to produce maximum improvements in athletic performance. At this level, programming is broken down into an individual focus per session. These are:
    • Linear Speed: ICA’s signature straight-ahead acceleration and top-speed running techniques.
    • Multi-Directional Speed: Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.
    • Upper and Lower Body Strength: Strength training exercises for muscle development and injury prevention.

This program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and refines their skills in order for them to maximize their strength, aerobic and/or sport specific training. Athlete’s will also learn the skills and conditioning necessary to help prevent injuries through various warm-ups, exercises and techniques. Regardless of age or where you are in your athletic journey, the vertical jump and vertical power will always play an integral role in your performance. Basketball and Volleyball are the most obvious sports that are reliant on these abilities, but golfers, tennis players, Dance & Cheer, Yoga, Ice Skating and athletes in any other sport that utilizes rotational aspects would benefit highly by increasing their vertical jump. Who wouldn’t want to hit the golf ball farther or add a few more inches on their volleyball serve or spike? When it all comes down to it, the amount of force we can put into the ground will dictate a lot of the athletic actions that happen with our bodies.

JUMP SCHOOL

Improve Your Jump to Improve Your Sport

Three Jump Training Styles

Below is a breakdown of three different types of jump training styles that will be used at ICA to build your vertical skills.

Body Weight

This is the most common type of jump training that you will see. Utilizing only the weight of your body, you perform these plyometric jump movements with little or no equipment. These include the following:

  • Wall Touches
  • Box Jumps
  • Depth Jumps

Resisted Jumps

Now we get into some of the less common vertical jump training options. Resisted jumps add some type of downward-pulling resistance that will make your jump seem more difficult and hopefully help you generate more effort into the movement. This includes the following:

  • Med ball Powerball
  • DB Resisted Jumps
  • Band Resisted Jumps

Assisted Jumps

The third variation is assisted jumps. In my opinion, these are the most enjoyable. The goal here is to feel like there is a trampoline-effect going on where you just seem to spring up into the air. Most (if not all) variations will utilize a band. This will include the following:

  • Banded “Belt” Jumps
  • Band Rack Pogos
  • Band Rack Squat Jump
